SRI VIVEKANANDA DEGREE COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, KADAPA.

 

Sri Vivekananda Degree College for Women (SVDCW) was established in the year 2012 by an academicians, abled administrators and Philanthropists Sri D.S.R. Manohar Reddy garu and Dr. N.P. Madhusudhan Reddy garu with a passion to provide quality education to the local rural women and empower them through knowledge and employment. The institution is located at the heart of the district headquarter kadapa and it is well connected to various villages and other districts. The earliest inscriptional evidence reveals that "Kadapa" meaning in Telugu "Threshold" was a convenient camping place for the pilgrims visiting the Lord Venkateswara Temple at Tirupati. The District is also considered to be one of the District endowed with rich History, Minerals Flora & Fauna.

The institution is affiliated to Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa. The institution was started with 04 programs with an initial admissions of 83. Currently, the institution is offering 05 programs with total enrolled students of 752. The Institution has grown in various aspects since its inception and achieved many milestones. The Institution enjoys a commendable social accreditation and a very good reputation in the state of Andhra Pradesh. SVDCW is one of the most preferred institutions in the town and in the YSR District.

The institute maintains high standards of education by providing a wide array of academic and infrastructure facilities. Apart from the regular academic activities, the institution is known for empowering women through various skill-based activities. The institution also offers freeships to about 60 student’s . Many students from other districts of Andhra Pradesh prefer to join the institution.

The Institution received many awards and appreciation for imparting quality education in the towns like Kadapa at a very affordable cost. The correspondent and the Director of the institution are the academicians and the institution was started due to their passion to provide quality education and empower the women.
